PROPERTY INSURANCE REFURBISHMENTS AND REMEDIATION SERVIES FAQs

What type of insurance refurbishment and renovation services do you offer?

We are truly a “one stop shop” for everything to do with building and construction – no job is too big and we still have our family-run values that we always have. Our skilled team can help with any requirement, and you can see the full range of services we offer below.

There’s been an accident in our property. What should we do?

Before doing anything, make sure that the property and it’s occupants are safe, if safe to do so.

The first thing you need to do in most cases is ring your insurance company and advise them of the situation. If you have a problem with a burst pipe or electrical issue and are unable to resolve the problem safely, they will normally advise you to ring a specialist.

Once the property is safe, the insurance company may send an assessor to review the damage.

They will then provide you with a value that you will be able to claim for to have your issue resolved. It’s this figure you should use to base the refurbishment on. We’ll work with you within that budget.

Does the work need to be completed “like for like”?

Normally no, but you should discuss this with your insurance company. Sometimes, a like for like replacement is not always possible (especially where fittings and decoration is old / vintage) and they will advise you how to proceed.
